![]() ![]() I lowered the bridge, tuned up, and it sounded great without any buzz. I broke out my Dan Erlewine book (which another thread here reminded me about), the optivisor, and stewmac rulers, and noticed my action was pretty high compared to my other guitars and Gibson's factory specs. I used both a flat straightedge across the frets, and a notched straightedge to check the neck. I restrung it and checked the neck, which has a slight bow to it, which I prefer. I have a 2004 LP standard that I haven't played that much over the past few years, and wanted to set up with 11's instead of 10's. Hi guys - I really appreciate all of the advice I've gotten on here so far, and I'm wondering if I could please get some opinions on this issue of a buzzing low E string above the 12th fret.
